Oral argument by podcast

The Supreme Court has led the CNMI into the brave new world of technology by becoming one of the first appellate courts to require E-filing. Now the State of Nevada has taken it one step further by broadcasting oral arguments by podcast.

First Post

For my first post, I thought I'd just give a quick roundup of why I've started this blog. For one, I have been a law clerk for many years, keeping my opinions of the law well behind the doors of the court. Now that I am in private practice, I am looking forward to sharing my opinions regarding the developing law in a space where I can interact with the legal and business community. In addition, I am interested in pursuing certain areas of the law which are not always clear cut. By following developments in both the CNMI and the United States, I am hoping to contribute to clarifying the direction that is being taken in property, construction, and corporate law by the local courts. In addition, because Commonwealth Superior Court published decisions are not available on electronic research databases, I would like to go back and start digesting what I see as some of our more important Superior Court precedent. Finally, I would like a forum to discuss new trends and happenings in the legal world as they affect the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands.
